January 2013 It’s Not Easy Being Green curated at The Foundry

January 4th, 2013 was the first First Friday of the year. The Foundry opened “It’s Not Easy Being Green,” a group art exhibit based on the color green. We had a great reception and sold one piece from the show and five others throughout the night. There were over 30 pieces of art in the exhibit. Many of the pieces were from artists that have never shown before. I love that.

The color theme was such a great success we plan to repeat it. Next round may be based on the absence of color. White Space.

Next on deck is a solo show by Foundry member, Leonid Koff. I will be taking the month off from my curator duties to focus on my solo show Curiouser and Curiouser… for February.
